Upper School Admissions

Hillsdale Academy offers an academically enriched alternative to students in Hillsdale County and the surrounding area. Students are admitted to the Academy based on the combined strengths of their application and interview, inasmuch as these show evidence of personal motivation. No intelligence or other achievement tests are required for admission.

For further admissions information, please e-mail: Teresa Heckenlively (theckenlively@hillsdale.edu).

Reenrollment for current students takes place the beginning of February. This process requires completing an online reenrollment packet as well as submitting a $200 deposit per student.

Applications of new students are then reviewed and interviews with families are conducted. Families whom are accepted submit the $200 deposit.

Tuition and Fees

For the 2020-2021 academic year, tuition for the Upper School Grades 9 through 12 is $7,030. A separate application fee of $25 covers administrative costs of processing applications and maintaining waiting lists.

Tuition payment plans are available. Tuition scholarship assistance is extended on a limited basis. Scholarship application forms are available in the Academy’s front office by February 1st and are due by March 1st. Scholarship recipients are notified in the spring.

Parents who voluntarily withdraw their child from Hillsdale Academy are responsible for the balance of the tuition for the current trimester. Prorated refunds are issued for students excused by Hillsdale Academy.

Before the beginning of each academic year, parents are notified as to school uniform requirements and where such purchases can be made.
