Another Championship Season

The Hillsdale Academy Volleyball team reached the Class D Quarterfinals for the second year in a row. After winning their third consecutive District and second consecutive Regional, the Colts were one point away from the Semi-Finals before eventual State Champions, Battle Creek St. Philip, rallied to win in five games. Head Coach Matt Miller’s team finished the season 41-8-5.

Due to their outstanding seasons, several players received post-season honors. Senior Clara Leutheuser finished her outstanding prep volleyball career earning First Team All-State. She led the team in kills, blocks, and hitting percentage. She was also named the Jackson Citizen Patriot and Hillsdale Daily News Player of the Year. Clara will continue her volleyball career next year at Hillsdale College. Sophomore Grace Leutheuser was named Second Team All-State, and Senior Natalie Ewers was named Third Team All-State.

Six Colts earned All-Conference after winning a fifth consecutive Mid-South Conference Title. Leutheuser, Leutheuser, Ewers, Amanda Cole, Caitlyn Hubbard, and Heather Lantis each received recognition.
